WELCOME WAGON!!!!!

Ok. Fine. Its not a real wagon but we have a wagon load of resources! *DIA train voice* hooooold on please, welcome to Colorado!

This is a constantly changing resource, we are contacting local organizations about what they offer and their inclusivity all the time, as well as getting suggestions from our community on resources. We will continue to update this page!

If you would like your organization to be added to our resources, please reach out!

Housing:

We get it, finding a place or a roommate is a pain, we’ve got some ideas;

We also have volunteers who have offered to open their homes to temporarily house recent transplants, contact us if you need to use this resource.

Employment:

The Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce has over 300 queer owned and affiliated businesses in its membership and a sprawling job board, they’re a great place to look for an accepting job!

Cutting your teeth as a journalist? Out Front Magazine, a local queer periodical, offers freelance and internship positions for the community!

Mental Health/Health:

Denver Health offers a wide array of healthcare resources including primary care and dentistry. New patients can schedule an appointment at one of their locations across the city here

If you’re in crisis contact Colorado Crisis Services at 1-855-493-8255 or visit one of their walk in centers. If you’re not in crisis, but things still suck, here’s some resources:

Youth Seen is an amazing local organization serving QTBIPoC youth. They provide support groups and an array of mental health and wellness service. They also run Denver Black Pride!

The Center on Colfax offers support groups for almost every letter of the acronym (and the religiously traumatized) that are both in person and remote! They are a great way to get the support and advice you need in a peer moderated setting. Check out their calendar to get involved!

The Transgender Center of the Rockies provides a variety of behavioral health services, including support groups. They also have some social functions and a clothing swap!

Queer asterisk provides individual and group counseling as well as community programs and peer mentorship! while the counseling sometimes fills up, the community programs are always happening.

Recovery

Advocates for Recovery is an established harm reduction recovery organization with locations all over Colorado! They offer groups like NA, AA and Recovery Darmah. They have partnered with our team to create a trans focused recovery group! We’ll update this when they get it going.

Just Living Recovery is a queer focused sober living community with an affordable rent to reduce the barriers to staying sober. Important to note: they have a house dog!

Transgender Specific Resources

For HRT, we recommend Planned Parenthood, our team has had great experiences with their doctors. Denver Health and UC Health also have Transgender programs which include gender affirming surgery.

For hair removal, it can be tricky to find good providers. T4T electrolysis is a queer owned and operated electrology studio that provides quality care in the heart of cap hill!

For legal name and gender marker changes, The Colorado Name Change Project is the one stop shop. Their guides and free monthly virtual workshops walk through the process without the complicated legalese!

For everything else, some of our community members compiled a spreadsheet of providers for anything you may need.

Entertainment

Oh you’re bored? Read a book or something. Jk here:

If you like concerts, events, and assorted happenings, check out BiteSize Productions on Insta or Facebook. The infamous purveyors of Underground Pride, Lucyfer and their team are the best way to stay in the loop on Queer events in Denver! Also in the vein of queer inclusive DIY is Seventh Circle Music Collective, a volunteer run hole in the wall venue.
